Wonderful Week in Lanzhou

Yesterday we went to Five Springs Park and the Zoo.  IT was situated right below the Go Lan Mountain.  It was a beautiful park (the zoo not so much!).  We saw people doing Tai Chi, Chinese opera, and Chinese water calligraphy.  It is Friday morning, and we will fly out of Lanzhou, Gansu to Guangzhou in anticipation or Aaron Li's Gotcha Day on Monday.  We have had a wonderful time in Lanzhou, eating noodles, going to the Vanguard market, and eating ice cream at the Dairy Fairy.  We have even had our very own wake up call every morning at 4:30 by Mr. Rooster!

But most of all, this is the place where our hearts melted over our precious baby girl.  She is so much more wonderful than we could have imagined.  She has blossomed like a flower in the few short days that she has been with us.  She is full of joy and laughter.  She loves to play and imitate us.  She LOVES to eat, but has definite likes and dislikes!  She has such a distinct and wonderful personality and has a stubborn streak a mile long (which I LOVE).  She lights up when we talk to her and smile at her.  She is such a snuggle bunny and wants to be touching us at all times.  We are amazed at how she already knows we are Mama and Baba, and when she calls me "Mama," it almost makes me cry.  She loves to blow kisses and wave bye bye.  She has completely captured our hearts, and we our hopelessly in love with Princess Meili.

Thank you for continuing to lift us up to the Father.  Tollie has a little bit of a cold, and Meili seems a little congested.  Please remember them.  Also, asking for peace as we fly out today and get settled into a new place and for peace for Aaron Li as he will be joining our family very soon.  Love you all and can't WAIT to be home!

Ashley
